Who qualifies as an accredited investor?
Under Canadian securities laws, Crowdmatrix can raise money only from investors that qualify as "accredited investors". To qualify as an accredited investor you must meet one of the below criteria:
| Your net income before taxes exceeded $200,000 in both of the last two years and you expect to maintain at least the same level of income this year | Your net income before taxes, combined with that of a spouse, exceeded $300,000 in both of the last two years and you expect to maintain at least the same level of income this year |
| You alone or together with a spouse, own financial assets worth more than $1 million before taxes but net of related liabilities | You alone or together with a spouse, have net assets of at least $5 million |
| You are registering on behalf of a company with net assets of at least $5 million | You are registering on behalf of a company where each of the indivdiual owners meets one of the above criteria |
If none of the above applies to you, you may qualify under additional criteria
